Full house at Australia v England Rugby Lunch

The Australian British Chamber of Commerce Australia v England Rugby Lunch was a full house this year in its support for Hearts in Rugby Union.

The Australian British Chamber of Commerce Australia v England Rugby Lunch on Friday, July 15, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney, was a full house this year in its support for Hearts in Rugby Union. The funds raised will continue to allow this charity to assist players who have suffered a life-changing injury while playing the game. Sam Bailey was amongst the guest speakers at the lunch, where he shared his own story of how a catastrophic injury diverted his life down another path, and how he was able to turn it into something positive. Ex-wallabies Phil Waugh and Al Baxter were also guest speakers.

Sam Bailey suffered a spinal injury in a car accident while jakerooing in the Northern Territory at 19-years-old , leaving him a C6/C7 quadriplegic.
Hi is paralysed from the chest down with only limited use of his arms and hands and can't regulate his body temperature. He has lost bowel and bladder control and part of his lung capacity.
He has overcome those challenges to become a farmer, ultralight pilot, public speaker and best selling author of the book Head Over Heels which he co-wrote with his wife, former ABC Rural Reporter, Jenny Black.
